My Opinion by
Well, what a week this was. I really don't have much to
say about this week. I'm glad a new day finally started, but
even that didn't last long, did it? Just four episodes. As
for the storylines? As I said before, not a lot to say.
John/Kate: The only thing that bugged me more than seeing
them nearly make love on the floor of the penthouse was watching
Kate lie to John when she figured Shawn and Rex were hacking into
his computer and told him otherwise. She must really be
desperate to see Philip be saved. Seeing John struggle through his
withdrawal is another thing that bothered me, but not as
Hope/Bo/Billie: Well, we finally got some kind of
resolution to this triangle. Not a very big one, mind you, but it
was still a resolution. All I can say to Billie is THANK YOU for
defending Patrick to Bo, like you've done for months now. Bo has no
right to accuse Patrick of still working with the DiMera's (even
though we know he still is) without any proof of it. I'd also
like to thank her for moving out after that incident in the kitchen.
Maybe now Bo and Hope can finally get some peace. At least, for a
Jennifer/Patrick/Hope/Abby/Chelsea: I put them all together
because they all fell into the same fold. I wonder why Hope would
encourage Jennifer to pursue Patrick when a) as long as Patrick is
with Billie, Billie is away from Bo and b) Jennifer is still
mourning Jack's "death?" I guess it's because she likes Patrick and
she likes Jennifer and would two people she likes together, rather
than someone she likes with someone she doesn't. And what was with
that cryptic call Patrick made? Abby's reconciliation with Jennifer
was long-awaited. It's about time Abby finally let all the anger go
and embrace her mother again. You only get one mother and I'm happy
she finally realized this. I'm glad we finally met Chelsea's parents
and learned her last name (Benson). However, don't look for
her parents to be sticking around for long. You'll see why next
week. . . .
Nicole/Brady/Chloe/Nancy/Sami: Brady is a total IDIOT to not
pick up on what Nancy was trying to tell him. She practically
spelled it out for him: He was hearing Chloe's voice because she is
ALIVE. She was there in the sacristy of the church singing. How
stupid could he be to not figure that out? His "proposal" to the urn
was just as stupid. It may have been symbolic, but it was simply
preposterous. At least we can see this storyline finally gain some
momentum now that Nicole knows that Chloe is alive, thanks in part
Tek/Lexie: Yes! Tek is back and on-contract again! Even
though he was only on two days this week, I liked seeing him back.
His scenes with Lexie were great, as well as the scenes in which he
questioned Mimi. As for what's ahead for him, I know we'll be seeing
him involved in Abe's blindness storyline. But I wonder what'll
happen after that? Maybe a new love interest? Eugenia, maybe?
Shawn/Rex: Not much to say except I hope Shawn knows what
he's doing, trying to rescue Philip like this. And I hope Rex knows
what he's doing, helping Shawn with this idiotic mission. I am
happy that Shawn remembered everything that happened with Jan,
though, and I'm happy he won't forgive Jan for it.
Mimi/Jan/Belle/Bonnie: It's evident Bonnie loves her
daughter. To ask her to lie to the cops to avoid getting caught for
Jan's accident obviously shows she wants what's best for her
daughter. As for Mimi, it's time to stop lying. She told Rex one
lie, and look at where it's gotten her. Now, she has another
secret on her hands that could've been avoided if she'd learned the
value of honesty. And now, she's even lying to Belle (who,
appallingly, is willing to forgive Jan for what she did to Shawn!).
No offense to Farah Fath (Mimi), but when Mimi's lies are finally
exposed, I hope she pays big time.
The DiMera Castle: The escape has begun! At long last, the
captives are on their way home! I didn't pay much attention to Roman
and Marlena's scenes before the escape. I just want them to
come clean to John and Kate about their lovemaking. Marriages are
built on trust and honesty as well as love. If there's no trust or
honesty, then what hope is there for a marriage? It was great seeing
Cassie back on-screen again, and her reunion with Roman was short
but sweet. And we're going to be seeing a lot more of her over the
next few weeks, all leading up to the reunions we've been waiting
And that's just what's on my mind!
