Sami was the character to watch this week, which was good, since the
week seemed to be all abut her. I have to admit I was surprised that
Marlena did vote against her own daughter to lose her job, but we do
understand why she did it--it was the ethical decision. I loved Samiís
comment, ďMy mother voted for me twice.Ē Still, just think how it would
feel if your own mother did that to you; that would be a hard pill to
Iím getting real tired of everyone in Salem telling Sami to stay
away form Tony. If Sami hasnít listened by now, they need to save their
breath and save the audience from having to listen to it repeatedly. The
other big Sami moment was her getting the annulment papers from Brandon.
I will admit that I had compassion for her when she realized that it
wasnít Brandon saying he wanted to get back together with her, but to
finalize them apart.
Iím sorry to hear that Suzanne Rodgers, who plays the lovable
Maggie Horton, has been let go from the show. This came as a huge shock to
me. I was actually hoping that when James E. Reilly came back to the show,
he would include her in more stories. Did you know that Suzanne Rodgers is the
only cast member to have won an Emmy? She won it for supporting actress
for her character of Maggie Horton when she lost her daughter to her
biological mother and started drinking. I hope that Suzanne finds work on
another soap and they make her a story worthy of her talent.
Bo and Hope lost a lot of blood and it seemed that they were
only in the hospital overnight; Iím not a doctor, but I would think they
would keep them longer than overnight. Also, it wasnít too believable for
me that Bo was that strong after an attack like that. It would have been
just as heart-warming for Bo to insist to share a room with his wife,
instead of fighting with the nurses to stay by her side.
I love when Celeste is on because she foreshadows what is going
to happen, and I love that. I believe that Celeste is one of Jamesí
character creations and I am hoping that he will have a lot for her in the
future, especially when Abe is gone. It was great to see both Celeste and
Alice together having the same bad feelings about Bo and Hope. It would
also be good to get Celeste involved in her own story, maybe a love
interest or go back to the Celeste/Caprice story that I was looking
forward to. Celeste is a strong woman, so let's see what she can do.
Cassie and Philip are getting too close in my opinion. Cassie
knows that he is her half brother, but yet she lets him flirt and
practically drool over her. We know she is a tease, but to go after your
own brother? How sick is she?
Iím hoping that James E. Reilly will make a change and make
Marlena the mother of the twins again, instead of Kate. Roman could still
be the father, I have no problem with that, but I still donít like Kate as
the mother. They could even go back to Tony and Marlena as the parents;
that would be good.
In my overview this week about Days of our Lives, I hope they
reconsider letting Suzanne Rodgers go; she has supported the show even
when they didnít give her anything to do, and I think it is horrible that
she has been let go. As they say in the show business life, the show
must go on!
Hey, Itís just what I think!
