show is now touching on a topic that is a vital and
important question for our society. How do we handle a
“living will”? Marlena signed and requested her wishes in a
living will, so as to not have any machines connected to a
respirator or be intubated to keep her alive. However, her
immediate family (other than Belle) wants to proceed with
her wishes. This is a life-challenging question as the
living will speaks for Marlena and many others in our
society. They're touching on a topic that may change our
perspective on how to handle this kind of situation. It'll
be interesting to see how this turns out.
once again, a wedding on Days is not a wedding without the
final “I do”. When John and Marlena got to that point, Sami
ran in and shot Marlena accidentally. It seems that no one
really ever gets married on Days without some excitement and
suspense along the way (and very few make it to the end at
all). Couples cannot stay together for too long before
having a situation that will break them apart. Viewers, I
feel, would like to see some consistency in a long-lasting
relationship that can prove to be more realistic for Days.
The exit of long time characters like Steve and Paul changes
the storylines that should be continued, in my opinion.
Still, most loyal fans love the soap and are excited by each
