As time goes on, his cover is blown, and we see Alex struggle with rebuilding his life. To learn more about this complex character, click on the years to take you through the story of Alex. You'll notice that few years are missing. This is because Randolph Mantooth was not in the entire run of the soap(s) Loving/The City. The show itself began in 1983. Randy joined in February 1987 and stayed until mid-1990; then returned in August 1993 and stayed on until the cancellation of The City in March of 1997
