Hope: Mom... my issue with Steffy is not going to come between you and your husband, okay?
Brooke: It already has, honey.
Hope: Well, then make it right. Just stay away from this topic.
Brooke: While you and Steffy duke it out?
Hope: It won't happen like that -- at least I-I hope not.
Brooke: After all the progress that you two made.
Hope: Yeah. I had really believed that we were moving forward -- you know, putting our family first -- but... I don't know. Maybe we are just two... very different people who will never see eye to eye.
Brooke: I have to believe that's true. I mean, look at your line. It's full of integrity and values and principles, just like you. You know, I probably shouldn't say this 'cause I am the one who created Brooke's bedroom, but... look at Steffy and her actions and the way she lives her life. It's reflected in her line.
