Bill: You got something you want to tell me?

Wyatt: I did what you demanded. I ended my engagement with Katie.

Bill: Attaboy! Proud of you.

Wyatt: Now, if you'll remember, you offered me something in return for my loyalty. Heir apparent, if I'm not mistaken. So I'm just counting on you to uphold your end of the bargain. You put my loyalty to the test, and I came through for you. It wasn't my choice, and it pained me to do so, but I broke off my engagement to Katie.

Bill: And you'll thank me one day. Marrying her would have been a terrible mistake. For now, I don't have to write you off. I'm glad about that. I like having you around. Especially since Liam is no longer part of this company. You know, I built this place with my blood, sweat, and tears. It's my legacy. And the legacy of future generations.

Wyatt: Right. I mean, this is the empire that you're gonna put in my hands one day. Right?

Bill: Spencer Publications will eventually be yours to do with as you see fit.

Wyatt: Good. Wonder how Liam's gonna feel about this.

Bill: Are you two communicating? Anything I should know about?

Wyatt: Why are you asking?

Bill: Because Liam is still my son, and I'll always be interested in what's going on in his life.

Wyatt: Steffy finally signed the annulment papers.

Bill: Did she, now.

Wyatt: Mm-hmm. I don't know why, all of a sudden, after holding off for so long. It's just weird. She gave him the signed papers, and apparently he accepted them.
