Nicole: You don't have to be, we've talked about this.
Zende: I can't feel the baby kicking and feel the joy that you and Rick and Maya share. I can't see you changing and be okay with it. I'm not. I'm trying to be accepting and open-minded.
Nicole: We could talk to someone. We could go to counseling.
Zende: That won't help?
Nicole: How do you know? We haven't tried.
Zende: I was adopted. You'd think that would make me more understanding of this situation. And there are all sorts of families. And I am not saying that Rick and Maya don't deserve to be parents, but I am not ready to be in a relationship with a woman carrying their baby.
Nicole: If that is how you feel then I guess we have to break up. Because I am pregnant with Rick and Maya's baby. There is no turning back. So if you can't deal with it, then we can't be together.
Zende: I love you. I will always love you.
