Beverly: Um, most of it. I mean, I was, um, I was a little girl when went into the foster system.Rick: And your mom went to jail?
Beverly: Yeah, first time she got arrested, back when there was a chance of her getting me back, but that dried up pretty fast.
Rick: I'm sorry.
Beverly: No, I was better off. The people she got mixed up with, gangbangers and drug dealers... my mom, she wanted more for me you know, that's-- that's why she named me Beverly, like Beverly Hills. She had it in her mind that it was this place where, you know, everybody was happy, and, uh, nobody had any problems, and everybody's wishes came true. It's--I know.
Rick: Beverly Hills?
Beverly: Oh, what, it's not true?
Rick: You've met my family.
Beverly: Yeah. Well...
Rick: You're pretty remarkable, you know that, after everything that you've been through and then getting accused of something that you didn't do and then still finding it in your heart to forgive us... And talking to us.
