Liam: Hope means everything to me, Mr. Forrester. I've--I've never met anyone like her. She stood by me, supported me, and I want to be there for her always. That's why I proposed, not for any other reason. And I understand that you have your reservations about me, and you and my dad have, uh, some issues, but, um, I'm hoping that doesn't color your judgment of me.

Ridge: I do have an issue with Hope marrying a Spencer. But you did save Steffy's life, and for that, I'll be forever grateful. But there's another issue I'd like to tackle now, and that's you and Steffy.

Liam: Steffy and me?

Ridge: Steffy confided in me that she has feelings for you. Do you share them? And I want you to be perfectly honest with me now. Otherwise, I'm not gonna be able to give my support to your marriage with Hope.

Liam: I-I have a lot of respect for Steffy. I mean, she's smart and she's beautiful, obviously, and very dynamic, and after what we went through, I--you know, I suppose we share a bond. But Hope is the one I love. She's the one I want to marry.

Ridge: Sounds like you know what you're doing.

Liam: I've never been more certain of anything in my life, sir.

Ridge: Hope is a very special, wonderful woman.

Liam: And I will give her every ounce of love and respect that she deserves. You have my word. So do I, uh, do I have your blessing, Mr. Forrester?

Ridge: I think if you're gonna be my son-in-law, you should just call me Ridge.

Liam: Yes, thank you, mis--uh, Ridge. Thank you.
