Brooke: You didn't say a word to me in the car.

Stephanie: I'm so angry about my mother's scarf.

Brooke: What are you worried about the scarf for? You could have been killed.

Stephanie: Well, maybe I have a death wish.

Brooke: That's not very funny.

Stephanie: You have no sense of humor. I have come to learn that about you. Listen, I'm going to die, sooner rather than later, so lighten up.

Brooke: That's your choice, and I don't agree with it.

Stephanie: You've made that excruciatingly clear.

Brooke: Get your treatment. Tell your family, or I will.

Stephanie: You do, and I'll take you with me. Do you get it? Now get ahold of yourself. God... you look like death warmed over.

Brooke: Yeah, well, I spent the day with you. (Sighs) look, let's just get in there, okay? My God, we're late as it is.

Stephanie: We can't go in there together. What's the matter with you? They'll think something's going on. Besides, you look, you know, all, I don't know-- you better go comb your hair and do something, okay? And wait for another minute before I'll go in. Oh, stop being so melodramatic.

Brooke: Stephanie, you are letting yourself die, and I am watching you do it.

Stephanie: Well, don't watch. Haven't I asked you to leave me alone, and you refuse?

Brooke: I-I'm not. I'm not gonna leave you alone. I'm gonna just be all over you until I get you to change your mind.

Stephanie: No, what you want is for me to do what you think is the right thing for me. There's a big difference.

Brooke: No. The right thing for everybody. That would be your family and especially you.

Stephanie: Brooke, I hope my family, you know, is sad when I pass over, but why prolong that misery now, okay? I'm not going to get better. That's the simple reality of it. I'm going to die. I've accepted that. I'm okay with that, okay? But I'm not okay with-- I am not going to die without my mother's red scarf.
