Rick: I fully recognize that I've been a real jerk lately.

Rick: Go ahead. You can call me every name in the book. I will happily accept it. I mean, after everything I've done? Think about it. Let's review, shall we? We've stolen the designs from my own company, and I gave them to Jackie M. I attempted to join the army. I wanted to get married on Point Dume, knowing how much it would make your father angry, and then there was the whole recording incident. That was the worst of them all. It's just proven to me that I'm not worthy of you, and I want you to know that I-- that I understand why you can't be with me.

Steffy: Good. I'm glad you finally get it.

Rick: Look, I-I'm trying to tell you that I'm not gonna be around to bother you anymore. I'm joining a monastery.

Steffy: No way. Are you serious?

Rick: I need spirituality in my life. Think about it. I've ruined every relationship that's ever meant anything to me in my life, and from now on, it's gonna be me and the man upstairs.
