Ridge: Are you baiting me, Nick?
Nick: No. I just want to make sure that my son isn't being taken from one difficult situation and being thrown into another.
Ridge: You just said living with Brooke would be good for him.
Nick: (Scoffs) Oh, come on, Forrester. You really don't want that to happen.
Brooke: Ridge isn't fighting this. He's agreed to help me raise Jack, make him a part of our family.
Nick: So you're okay with this?
Ridge: Like I said, I have reservations, but I'm not gonna stand between Brooke and her son.
Nick: Okay, what--what does that really mean? That you're just okay with some of it? Can you give it to him, though, Forrester? Can you step aside and let Brooke and me be parents, let us make decisions for his future?
Ridge: How about can you deal with me being in his life, too?
Nick: What are we talking about, a stepfather?
Ridge: That's exactly what I'd be. And we want it on paper, for Brooke's sake. Shared legal custody. If we're gonna let Jack into our home and our hearts, we want to make sure that nobody's just gonna come along and take him away from us on a whim. Can you deal with that, Marone?
