Random Thoughts, Questions, & Ideas
By Patti G
I have to admit I am enjoying Susan Lucci's (Erica) storyline. Ms. Lucci in
her years playing Erica Kane has done many things but never a dual role. I am
happy for her that in the closing months of the show she gets to try one last
I loved that when she called Jack, and because Bianca accidentally had his
phone, Spike answered. Being totally real and such a young child, he acted in my
opinion very typically in not being either alarmed to hear from Erica or quick
to put a grownup on the phone. He simply missed her and was happy to talk to
I am not sure whether the Erica 2.0 had planned on ransoming Erica and then
substituting herself in her place or it just turned out like that.. Was she
planning on indefinitely keeping Erica alive and imprisoned to keep pumping
information from her? I would think that as much as she knows about Ms. Kane,
that the charade could not keep afloat forever. Surely, someone who knows the
real Erica would bring up something that Erica 2.0 wouldn’t know anything
I know the scene with Bianca confronting the homophobic mom was mostly to
push along the Marissa/Bianca storyline, but did Bianca never think that this
situation was going to come up and "her girls" were going to have to deal with
it? Nobody wants their children picked on, but I would think especially now that
Miranda is in school with other children, that Bianca might have prepared her
daughter for this earlier.
I am going to be very sad and angry if/when Madison's baby dies. I hope she
and Scott work things out. What might have started as “a job” to him, it is
obvious how much he really loves her.
While I never really cared about the character of Asher, I thought the other
day that I do like the fact that, while he and Caleb are not real close, he still has
forgiven him enough to have a relationship with him. Asher also is still loyal
to JR as well. That is a slippery slope.
I still cannot stand Colby and do not understand her reason for even taking up
Ricky just gets creepier every time he is on screen. I guess the fact that
he makes me feel that way is credit to the actor. I noticed at least in my area,
that I have not seen the commercials he was the spokesperson for lately or at
least since his character has gone to the dark side. Is that a coincidence or
has the insurance company felt people might have a negative attitude toward him
in the commercials if they recognize him from the show?
I understand David using the information he overheard to blow Scott out of
the water. I find it difficult that he would purposely hurt Madison who has done
nothing to him and that he knows is pregnant and how he might feel if she loses
this baby because of the fuse he lit.
Well, that’s about all for now. Have a great week.
I would love to hear from any of my readers.
