Love and Hate
This is the way I have felt about the character
Babe Carey, I loved her when she first came into town but that was
until she kept Miranda away from Bianca. When I did love the character
it was because she made things interesting and stirred things up for
JR. However, Babe is the character that can get on my nerves very
easily, whether I love her or hate her it doesn’t make a difference.
In typical soap opera style, Babe ends up being the daughter of David
(an already resident of Pine Valley) and I have to say that I liked it
better when she only had ties to her mother Krystal. That way with no
ties to Pine Valley, her character could leave without any notice.
Then when she kept the fact that her baby was actually Miranda, I
started to hate the character (for the first time) and then after that
storyline played out I found myself not loving her but not hating her.
I started to love her character again when she began to play JR but
then when she started to fall for him and acted like her motives were
pure and his were not, that is what made me dislike her all over
again. I have not liked Babe ever since she pretended that JR was the
one who had hidden motives for getting back together and I disliked
her even more when she was given Greenlee’s shares in Fusion. I
couldn’t stand watching her act all high and mighty towards Kendall,
she has no right to treat Kendall that way, especially after what she
did to her sister Bianca. It also annoyed me that Babe would scream to
whoever would listen that Jonathan should not be near children, even
though she shouldn’t be near kids either. I do not know if there is a
way for Babe to be redeemed in my eyes; a step in the right direction
would be for her to start acting nicer towards Kendall, which I do not
see as happening in the near future.
I am so glad that I taped today’s episode because
I found it to be very boring. I know that after a week of Zach,
Kendall and Ryan scenes they need a break but the writers could have
at least given us something good to watch. The only things I liked
about today were the scenes with Erin, Aidan and Lily because they
were very sweet and were filled with the Christmas spirit. I also got
a good laugh when Tad found out about David’s almost surgery, his
expression was amusing. The end has finally come for the Krystal
Christmas party because near the end of today’s episode, all of the
guests cleared out and so that is a very good sign that we will not be
subjected to this tacky display anymore. There isn’t anything else I
want to say about today’s episode because I really just want to forget
about it. I also hope that tomorrow’s episode will be much better and
that it will include some Zach and Kendall scenes.
