AMC premiered on January 5, 1970, set in Pine Valley, Pennsylvania. It last aired on ABC on Friday, September 23, 2011. Prospect Park aired 43 new episodes online at Hulu.com from Monday, April 29, 2013, until Monday, September 2, 2013.

The poem, written by creator Agnes Nixon, that appeared in the title credits' photo album read:

The Great and the Least,
The Rich and the Poor,
The Weak and the Strong,
In Sickness and in Health,
In Joy and Sorrow,
In Tragedy and Triumph,
You are ALL MY CHILDREN
