Veronica

My name is Veronica. I've been watching Soap Operas since I was 9 years old. I first got introduced to them when I was at my grandmothers house watching Days of Our Lives. Since then, I have watched all the other soap operas at one point or another. When I was in high school, I used to leave for school with the 3 VCRs in the house going (one for ABC, the other for NBC and then CBS) and watch them when I got home.

I have been writing for the past 10 years. I used to write for my high school newspapers Entertainment Section, which included movie reviews, Award Show Recaps, Celebrity Interviews, etc. Above is me with Nancy Lee Grahn after attending the Daytime Emmys in 2004.

I went on to get my BA at Adelphi University in New York in Film and Television Production where I studied Cinema, Screenwriting, Production and Journalism. Afterwards, I got my MBA at the same college. I began attending St. Thomas University Law School in hopes of becoming an Entertainment Lawyer, but a car accident cut that short. I now currently work for Disney in Orlando, Florida.

In my spare time, I enjoy writing (especially screenplays), surf the internet, play sports, collect movie memorabilia, attend movie conventions and/or public appearances, and frequent Disney World. My biggest goal right now is networking with as many people as possible within Disney/ABC so I can get my dream job working on General Hospital or in Daytime in general. I have written many screenplays and made various films and videos for submission into film festivals.

I own a house in New York that was inherited to me after my parents passed away. In addition, I am looking to purchase a house here in Orlando for the time being until I see where my career takes me and then either sell, move back or look into short term rental.

Aside from Daytime, my favorite television shows include Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Tru Calling, Friends, Sex in the City, Alias, Will and Grace, and various others. My filmmaking heros include Joss Whedon, George Lucas, Wes Craven and Kevin Smith.
